What We Do

As a non-profit organization with rely on the kindness and dedication of our sponsors, other organizations, volunteers and friends so we can make a difference.

The journey of a laptop…

1.

It all starts in Canada.  According to Statistics Canada, in 2006, more than three quarters of all households own at least one computer. Of these, 31% bought new computers in the same year. What happened to the old computers? When someone decides to donate a computer we make sure that it is still in good condition before we take the next step.

2.

The computer is shipped to Colombia.

3.

In Colombia we have a database of students who have applied to receive the computers.  They need to show that they have very limited resources, that they are good students and that without our help they would not be able to afford a computer. If the computer fits their needs we will contact them so they can pick it up.
